Norway’s biggest extreme metal festival INFERNO Metal Festival and Germany’s SUMMER BREEZE Open Air launch a band exchange program.
The fact that Norway and Germany have excellent underground scenes with first-class bands is proven year after year with great releases and thrilling live performances by up-and-coming bands, as well as not least with countless applications reaching the festival organizers.
INFERNO Metal Festival and SUMMER BREEZE Open Air are launching a band exchange program from 2024, with each festival offering a slot to one Norwegian and one German band. The aim is not only to give up-and-coming bands the opportunity to perform abroad, but also to gain new fans. Thus, SUMMER BREEZE will present a German band at the INFERNO Metal Festival in Oslo for the first time in April 2024, while INFERNO Metal Festival will send one of the most promising Norwegian extreme metal newcomers to Dinkelsühl for SUMMER BREEZE in August.
We will host: TILINTETGJORT
Avant-garde black metal from Norway – that’s what TILINTETGJORT from Oslo have in store.
The band, who were chosen by the Inferno Festival organizers to represent our joint band exchange, have been around since 2020 and released their debut album last year. They offer unusual, wacky black metal – the band can really score points live, as Jan-Martin from Inferno reports: “They played at Inferno in 2023 and were so good that we booked them again for 2024.” So be there when the band celebrates its premiere in Dinkelsbühl.
