Campsite opening on the early arrival day Tuesday (advance booking required for vehicles!)
The access gates open on Tuesday in the morning hours and are open until 22:00 in the evening. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday no access to the camping site will be possible, on Wednesdays we open the locks again at 08:00, but then continuously until Sunday. So if you want to arrive a day earlier for the SUMMER BREEZE Open Air, you can do so on Tuesday. New from 2024 is the possibility to fill Black Earth (our lock area) on Monday evenings to spend a night there. Some of our guests love this traditional get-together. However, we must make it very clear that no vehicles may be parked on the state road. We can only accommodate pre-registered vehicles. Please read all the information about this, even if it is extensive.
We have to charge a logistics fee per person for early arriving Tuesday campers, because the considerable costs incurred by the extra day (personnel, rent, etc.) should not be borne by the general public of campers, but only by those arriving early. This contribution relates to people and should not be confused with the slots for vehicles.

With your help, we want to better control our processes and thus ensure that together we cause less congestion, significantly reduce waiting times and everyone arrives at SUMMER BREEZE 2024 better planned.
The maximum capacity of our road network has been reached. We need to intervene more in traffic management. Our experiences from 2023 and a new construction site at a key point on the route to the festival site motivate us to introduce the following improvement: We will divide you into different timed slots in advance in 2024. We will do this with online pre-bookable arrival slots at a price of €20 per vehicle (parking ticket costs on site will be waived). The camping fees charged per person (€15 per person) for Tuesday still have to be paid on site. We see clear advantages in solving some of the problems that arise when traveling to major events online in advance. With your cooperation, of course!

The aim is to make everyone’s journey more relaxed and reduce waiting times. We want to prevent excessive congestion before the locks are even open. A large construction site within the arrival route is sometimes the impetus for this new regulation. We have also doubled the number of employees on Black Earth. We want to avoid congestion on the route networks and break up the peaks in traffic. In a nutshell: if not everyone arrives at the same time, we can get the congestion under control. Overall, this solution allows more people to enter the square with less waiting time.
2) When and where can I book early arrival slots? What is the procedure?
From May 15 at 11:00 a.m. on www.summer-breeze.shop.
– Select the day (Monday and Tuesday slots are mandatory bookings for your arrival. Wednesday slots are optional, but save time if you book in advance).
– Select a slot for your entire travel group. Agree in advance and have one person book.
– Book one slot per vehicle
Select the appropriate product in our store, which is divided according to arrival days. We recommend having one person make the bookings so that your group is entitled to the same time slots in one go. After payment, you will receive your booked access for the slots in the form of e-tickets. Divide these up among your travel group. One slot must be booked per vehicle.
3) Who is affected by the required slot booking?
– All those arriving by vehicle on Tuesdays (or Mondays)
– Arrival by public transport not affected
Arrival slots refer to vehicles arriving at the festival site on the early arrival day Tuesday or Monday evening. Regardless of whether the vehicle is parked in the day parking lot or on the camping site. The slot booking does not require your license plate number and is independent of the number of people in the car. People who come to the festival without a car are exempt from this regulation. Arrival by public transport is therefore not affected.
You can also book your slot for Wednesday if you want to save time on site. This helps you and us. Booking for Monday or Tuesday is mandatory, for Wednesday optional. From Thursday onwards, slot bookings are negligible.

4) Are there any extra costs for the slot booking compared to 2023?

5) What happens if I arrive too late for my slot?
– Please plan a time buffer for your arrival

Please allow for a time buffer when you arrive. The slots will be allocated 3 hours each. Everyone has to queue up, even if you arrive too late for your slot. Don’t worry, if you book a slot for Tuesday, you will certainly get to the pitch on Tuesday. The system will be able to iron out any delays caused by unforeseen problems. 6) Can I arrive on Monday?
– There will be a slot for Monday. Arrival on Monday is not permitted without a booking.
Monday is (actually) not an arrival day, but we will already fill our locks on Black Earth and have set up a first limited slot on Monday. It will NOT BE PERMITTED to park on the state highway on Monday evening. Pulling into the campground will begin Tuesday morning at lock opening.
7) What happens if the people in my tour group book different slots?
– You cannot arrive together with different slots.
– This is not a problem on reserved areas. You are guaranteed to end up in the same area.

8) How many slots can an individual book?
(Almost) No matter how big your travel group is, we will allow you to book all your vehicles in one go. There is only a technical limit to prevent abuse. If you want to book more than 20 slots for your group without having reserved spaces, please contact shop@summer-breeze.de directly.
9) What happens if I arrive on Tuesday without a booked slot for my vehicle?
– It will not be possible to drive onto the festival site without a booked slot.

Make sure you arrive at the festival site on your slot date, even if you could reach the Dinkelsbühl region earlier. If the queue for the previous slot clears quickly, we will communicate this in our arrival ticker.
Of course, we won’t slow you down if you arrive at the festival site a few minutes before your slot.

13) Our recommendation for groups with a reserved area:
One person should book all slots for the most important vehicles. As joint parking/camping is guaranteed with reserved areas, you can of course also decide on different slots within your group and then end up in the same area throughout the day.

One person should book the slots for ALL vehicles. As soon as you land within the same slot, you can use our group meeting point within our festival grounds to gather again before camping off.

15) What happens if my desired arrival slot is already sold out? Can I rebook?
Please book a slot directly that you can live with as an alternative. There will be no more capacity for individual slots later. Late bookings for vehicles are also not possible. In an emergency, please divide more people between the booked vehicles. Trailer tickets are not limited and can be rebooked.

You can offer surplus slots again on our ticket exchange.
