With their albums, SÓLSTAFIR stand for meter-thick goosebumps and an incredibly dense atmosphere. They will also be creating this at SUMMER BREEZE in summer 2025 as part of the Century Media label night!
The musical development of the Icelanders is a prime example of how a band can change without betraying its musical roots. Despite their “post” attitude and rock and alternative influences, SÓLSTAFIR still sound harsh, dark and yet beautiful, just as you would imagine the Icelandic landscape to sound. This was no different at the beginning of their career, although it was much more (black/death) metal and yet also a little more one-dimensional. Nowadays, SÓLSTAFIR no longer acquire their fans (only) from the pagan camp, their songs are now too multi-layered and appealing. At SUMMER BREEZE 2025, you can see for yourself that the whole thing also works fabulously on stage on a large scale. Don’t miss it if you like gloomy yet rocking atmospheres and great melodies!
